Traditionally, this workcamp is the opening project for the new season. Traditionally, participants encounter both difficult conditions and wonderful experience of the beginning of the summer-time.

In the year 2010 the group of Hartenberg Start consisted of 8 wonderful people:

The tasks of the group were to clean the area, sleeping spaces and prepare "Cikánský Dvůr" to the upcoming season, to work in the castle and enjoy themselves :)

Work was alternating with trips to the nearby towns and free-time activities in the surroundings. We explored canoeing from Loket to Karlovy Vary and managed an 18-kilometer trip through the forests. We were dancing and joking during digging and digging and digging in the castle :) We had wonderful dinners prepared by volunteers and tried some Korean and French typical food. It was nice time to spend together. And thanks to everybody who made it so pleasant (not only volunteers, but also permanent inhabitants of Hartenberg).

  This year's first foreign volunteers arrived from France, South Korea and Russia to Hartenberg at the end of May. They were to help preparing facilities for the rich Hartenberg's summer.
