Archeological research 2011
Again in 2011, archaeological excavations were conducted in the castle.

IVAH 2011 (Summer Academy)
A unique one-month-long project of volunteering academy was placed in Hartenberg for the first time. In Hřebeny, participants from Europe and South America met together and discussed about world problems with specialists from all the Czech republic.

Hartenberg Casual School 2011
For the fourth time, both informative and fun day for pupils of different ages took place in Hartenberg. The event was organized by the Civic Association and teachers and students of ISSTE Sokolov.

Burning Witches Day 2011
This year we managed to detect malicious characters lurking in the mysterious disguises and wickedness was punished. Enjoy a selection of the most interesting moments which were captured. -

International Theatre Festival-Workshop 2010
For the first time, professional theatre artists from many European countries came in the castle. They made a unique show full of performances and creative workshops. This pilot volunteer project will continue next year.

Hartenberg Start 2010
This year's first foreign volunteers arrived from France, South Korea and Russia to Hartenberg at the end of May. They were to help preparing facilities for the rich Hartenberg's summer. -

National stones in the Hartenberg chapel
The chapel walls are reconstructed by hands of volunteers from all over the world. Every country should has their national stone here. Three kings chapel burned down in 1985 after a serious fire, set on purposedly. Volunteers from all parts of the world are involved in the restoration of the castle and the chapel itself, for a centre of international volunteer movement has been founded.

Only a few decades ago the castle and the surrounding area created a beautiful and sophisticated blend of coexistence of man and nature. Today we often wonder what our ancestors were able to and how much they were with nature in harmony and symbiosis.
